Summary: We first walked into Ms. Matthews class and were introduced to Ms. Hellerman our sub for the day. After we were finished with our hello's Alfredo read the Blog Entry from Thursday Nov. 2nd. We then went over the first and second option for the journals. After a couple of minutes of writing we shared our opinions to both options of the journal. Soon after, we were told about the questions we were supposed to answer to get credit on the video "Killing Me Softly." We then watched the video that was about how commercial and ads degrade women and give people the idea that if you don't look like the girls they have your not beautiful. It also talked about the secret hidden messages behind the picture. For instance, there was a picture of a womens figure as a perfume bottle. That portrays the image of a women no longer being " a subject but an object." After watching the very interesting video we got a few minutes to finish our questions and share them with our table. After that we shared our thoughts to the entire class. We also saw a video that was not on the agenda about a women being overly photo shopped to the point it no longer looked like her.

Objectives: Swbat solve multi-step equations by applying inverse operations, distributive property, and combining like terms.

Homework: Solving multi-step packet pg 41-43 #'s 1-25
Summary: First Ms. Cho checked our homework which was 3-5 solving equations with variables on both sides #'s 1-15 and finish multi-step equations worksheet #2 (evens). Then we did our #8 warm up which was also more practice for our test on distributing and solving multi-step equations on Friday. We then corrected our homework from the night before. Fourthly, we did ten problems on our homework worksheet. We need to get them stamped so we could get credit for our classwork. Lastly, we finished the day by going on Google sketch up and creating two 3D chairs. What I learned was how to create chairs that actually looked like normal chairs on Google sketch up and the difference between a problem that has no solution and a problem with any number as a solution.
