Today we walked into Ms.Cho's class and our secretaries got our worksheets from the out box. We did quiz corrections instead of a warm-up. Ms.Cho walked around and check our homework from the night before. After that Ms.Cho passed out a worksheet where we would take notes. We started taking notes on Displacement and Velocity. We defined words like Displacement-an objects change in position , Distance Traveled-total distance an object moves, and Velocity-speed with direction. We then went to lunch. When we came back from lunch we continued the notes. We talked about the difference of velocity and speed which is that velocity includes direction speed does not.We also worked on solving some problems and finding the displacement. When we finished taking notes we worked on finishing buildings and putting our city together until the end of class.
EXAMPLE:
1. During a race on level ground, Andra runs with an average velocity of 6.02m/s to the east. What is Andra's displacement after 137 seconds?
V= 6.02m/s
^t=137s
^x=?
^x= V * ^t
824.74= 6.02 * 137
